ConsultantsBackground Kelly began her career in the Aerospace industry with a design/manufacturer of Aircraft Wheels and Brakes. After ten years in this field she returned to school with the desire to help adults better themselves through learning. Kelly’s passion for process improvement drove her to learn the tools and lead a multitude of Kaizen improvement teams. Since most of her interaction was in the office environment, she began developing Administrative or Business Process versions of the proven manufacturing improvement tools. As an example, Kelly developed a Lean Office Basics workshop. It attacks physical and electronic waste at the workstation and in the public areas of the department. Workshop results have included removing file full-sized file cabinets, gigabytes worth of server space and significantly reduced search time for typical office supplies and equipment. Kelly also facilitated improvements through multiple links in a supply chain. She used her Business Process Redesign tool and a cross functional team that included the manufacturer and their distributor customers. The chosen Business Process began with order entry to the distributor, then through the manufacturer and ended with product delivery back to the distributor.
